Indicator Status Evidence
Has the EC launched any new LSP? Yes The CIP WP 2012 includes an objective on "Basic Cross Sector Services" that intends to support one pilot A that will focus on all the building blocks developed by the different pilot projects previously launched. This pilot will also prepare the ground for the Commission's proposed "Connecting Europe Facility", which proposed to allocate funding to support investment in essential digital service infrastructures in the public interest. Call closed in May 2012, the successful proposal pilot was to be started in December 2012, name e-SENS: Electronic Simple European Networked Services. E-SENS will consolidate the building blocks of the existing LSPs (Large Scale Pilots) focusing on the core building blocks: eID, e-delivery, semantics and e-Signatures and envisaging improved and extended usage. E-SENS is in line with relevant EU policies, including the DAE, the eGov AP and the upcoming CEF (If e-SENS successful then will deliver the core building blocks for the CEF).
